Excitement Mounts!
Further to my post back here
No-one having come up with the correct answer, here's a couple of photo clues! Each taken at the end of 1965.

So the chap in your original post is original Kinks founder Dave Davies and a bit of googling shows me that the link between Richard Briers and Dave Davies is this:

I can't see the conection between the two...same era..
