Fireworks day, done best.

As imagined in 1964 by the legendary Leo Baxendale, who needs no introduction.  A large copy of this has been on the wall of my studio for many years.

I also loved your Fred's Bed and Harry Hill doing a firework..bonfire theme..great to see this back in comics..ooooh!!...aaahhh...wheee..

Sorry, Leo Who? Yup, terrific stuff. I think he got the idea for his single pagers from Giles' cartoons, although he crammed much more into his than Giles did, perhaps.

Best firework cover that Odhams ever did! Brilliant work. The busy group spread was a British comics tradition dating back to Casey Court from Illustrated Chips in the 19th Century but Leo made it his own. Definitely inspired by Giles but more in it for kids to relate to.
