Harry's got a note from his Mum.

The Dandy annual 2012 is almost upon us - they're published earlier every year! Eagle-eyed readers will spot there is one character that has been a mainstay of the Dandy over the past nine months that isn't represented- I can confirm there's No Harry Hill in the annual. This isn't because it was prepared before he joined the Dandy line-up, it's due to boring, complicated stuff that's of no interest except it means that he will be absent from the book. But never fear, he's in the weekly (isn't it nice to call The Dandy a weekly again!) and there's plenty of great stuff in the annual, so who's complaining!

I must confess that I pefer the traditional look. Okay, you've made a sale - I'll buy one.

It's because Harry's a licensed strip isn't it? Bogies has never been in the annual, for the same reason.

It's a shame. My kids love the weekly and would expect to see the same characters (in their current artwork style) in the annual. I see the logo is 'old school' too.

And I'm not even on a commission. Darn.

It is partly because of that.

There is a lot of 'new' stuff in the annual too, together with 'old' stuff - having run continously since 1937 it's hard to appeal to EVERY reader but i think The Dandy annual will be a good 'un.

I hope the logo won't put anyone off. After all, for many years the annuals never used the same logo as the weekly, - always using a new and different design every year.

As Nigel said, the contents will include some of the new strips. Kid Cops are in it for starters...

When does the annual come out, I heard it was today. :/

Nobody publishes on a Sunday (look at the News of the World!) but it will be out soon.
